In 2004, I bought a Royal Enfield 350 Bullet… and proceeded to ride India from top to bottom… I never had any problems…well almost… we were on our way up to Leh in the Indian Himalayas, (when) I met Asheesh and his dad Anji… (I had a gear selection problem and) before i knew what was happening my gearbox was in pieces and the problem had been found… and to top it all off Anji and Asheesh actually had the spare part…We headed off to Leh… and had an amazing ride up. We stopped off at various Kodak moments and had a glorious introduction to the Indus valley… (Unfortunately my front fork broke and ended the ride for me)
I think that if it weren’t for Asheesh and Anji, we would never have ridden into Leh, nor had the chance to take that slow easy ride into the Nubra valley… riding with them has been a wonderful and enriching experience, and I hope to return to ride with them again in the future… I have only praise for these two blokes… I wish them all the best in their ventures and I hope its a great success… remember boys… keep the shiny side up!
